Homemade Mac & Cheese Recipe

Yay a new recipe!!!!!!!!!! This is my all- time favorite thing to cook ever, and I love it so so much. It's cheap, filling, flexible, and great as a side dish or as a main course. So here we gooo!!!!!!

Ingredients:

  • Elbow Macaroni pasta (make as much as you need!)
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 stick of butter/margarine
  • 1-2 teaspoons of flour
  • CHEEEEEESE!!! (It's best to have a blend of cheeses when you make this. I like to use a few slices of processed cheese like Velveeta or Kraft Singles because it makes it smoother, gives it color, and adds flavor well. On top of that I'll shred in Monterrey Jack, provolone, mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan, Romano, whatever I have! The more cheese the better)
  • Salt and Pepper for flavor

Procedure:

  1. Boil water and cook the pasta for 10 minutes or until al dente. Drain the pasta and keep a lid on top to preserve heat while making the cheese sauce.
  2. Melt butter into pan used to cook pasta. And flour and stir until there are no lumps. Keep on the lower range of medium heat. Pour in the milk and add the salt and pepper, stirring until a creamy base has formed.

  3. Melt in various cheeses, stirring until even mixed in the sauce. Add more salt and pepper and cheese as needed, until the flavor reaches what you desire. If the sauce gets too thick, reduce the heat and add milk. If it becomes too thin, add more cheese and slat and pepper. If adding in any extras (some examples are further down in this post) add them now and fold them into the sauce mixture.
  4. Pour the pasta into the cheese blend and fold the sauce in until everything is evenly mixed. Stay on low heat for this.
  5. SERVE YOUR TASTY MAC & CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
